Getting Ready for Bay Bay...

So...I'm still pregnant!

And for the update on where we stand...I literally was at the doctor and/or hospital EVERY DAY LAST WEEK. And each time I was there it was for no less than three hours. And let me tell you, that will wear a girl straight out!

I went in for our growth ultrasound with Dr. Mirablie this past Monday and baby boy looks great still. So great, in fact, that he was estimated to be right at 8 lbs. 10 oz...and let me remind you that this past Monday I was just at 36 weeks. I have made it very clear to my doctors that I do not want to be in the news for having a 16 pound baby. They all laugh when I say this. I do not laugh when I say this.

Everything looks great with little man, except my amniotic fluid level had dropped significantly since the last ultrasound just 3 days earlier. The level had dropped from a 12 to an 8. A level of 8 is no reason to panic, but definitely reason to keep monitoring me and continue the ultrasounds. You don't want your amniotic fluid level to drop below a 5 at this stage. (We know way too much about amniotic fluid around here because of Jackson...I had low fluid with him and he was delivered at 36 weeks because of it.) Anywho, we left Dr. Mirablie's office with a big congrats from him and he told us we didn't need to see him again. Wow!

Tuesday-Thursday was more NST's, ultrasounds, and BP monitoring. My BP is still high, but stable and my ultrasound Thursday showed my fluid level at 7.9 so we are still good to go.

Friday, my BP was the highest it has been so far 155/95 so I had to stay and rest at the hospital for quite a while and there was one plus amounts of protein in my urine that day. Thankfully, they let me go home for the weekend with strict instructions to "take it easy," and to come back on Monday.

My doc says she really wants me to make it to 38 weeks but that we will re-evaluate all of this on Monday. (I am 37 weeks tomorrow!)

So, with all that said....I am still so thankful that sweet bay bay is still cooking and that he looks so stinking healthy. What a relief!

And speaking of sweet bay bay....I don't think I have officially announced his name yet!!! (See Below)

Below is a pic of the shirts I got for Jackson and his brother to wear at the hospital...and below that is a pic of the Valentine's present that my sweet hubby and Jax gave me. It has the name of ALL of my boy's on it, a cross and my birthstone. I am going to order an extra charm for it because of course I need to have Renzi's name on there too!

So...OFFICIALLY...our third son's name is going to be Walker Seth Stone.

Walker Stone....can't you just see it? With a name like that he can be a country singer or the President! I love it so much!

The background on the full name is this:

Walker: We all just liked it! We had the hardest time deciding between a few of the names, but Jackson ended up being the tie breaker. He started calling his baby brother Walker and then it was a done deal for us!

Seth: When I found out I was having a boy my sweet friend Amber Featherstone texted me this:
"What do you think of Seth Stone? While reading through the Bible last summer for Isaiah I learned that Adam and Eve had a third son, Seth, and I just thought of you guys. Just thought about what healing and joy Adam and Eve must have received from a new baby after losing Abel."

I had NO idea about Adam and Eve even having any other children so I quickly looked it up in the Bible. It is a very small paragraph...Genesis 4:25 so it was easy to miss. After further research Seth was born after the slaying of Abel by Cain, and Eve believed God has appointed him as a "replacement" for Abel. Now, I am not a huge fan of the word replacement because I do not believe that Walker is a replacement for losing Isaiah, but if you read more you will find that Eve also believed that Seth brought a new beginning for their family and I like that meaning a lot better.

Thank you Amber for telling me about the name!

So, there you have it!

Oh and if you are wondering if I will be posting a pic of me this week with my pregnant tummy...well, think again. I look like the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man from Ghostbusters and no one wants to see that. :)

I will leave you with this adorably adorable picture. Jackson and our sweet neighbor who is his "girlfriend" were tooling around our cul-de-sac this morning in her pink Camaro. So sweet of her to let him drive.

Until next time....much love to you all!

Jackson's Many Outfits

My little man has a creative style all his own. I used to fight it, but I have since come to embrace his creativeness and let him be exactly who he wants to be. I feel like what Jackson wears is such an expression of some of his character traits, carefree, colorful, confident, comfortable in his own skin and of course, adorable!
Oh, and also...you have to learn to pick your own battles and choosing what you are going to wear is one I would rather not fight! :)

So, here's a walk through some of his outfit choices over the last year.

Exhibit A: Jerseys are a must for this kid. My only rule is that you can't just wear a jersey to school, you must put a tshirt or long sleeved shirt underneath it. This picture also shows his crazy hair. Sometimes he wants to spike it up, other times he want it to be left alone. This is clearly a leave it alone day.

Exhibit B: Pop your collar. I have no idea who taught him this but he does this every time he wears a polo shirt. And sometimes, 3D glasses are a must, because, let's face it. Life is sometimes better in 3D.

Exhibit C: All ready for school with a fake smile that screams, "Mom...let's go already!" He is colorful, isn't he??

Exhibit D: Sometimes wearing shorts on your head while riding your bike through the house in your pajamas is a great idea. He seriously did this for two hours.

Exhibit E: OH BE STILL MY HEART. Will you look at this preciousness??? We were at a wedding and he wanted to wear the tie (sports tie, of course), and he did his hair all on his own. I LOVE HIM!

Exhibit F: Ready for the Thunder Game. Enough said.

Exhibit G: All ready for Valentine's Day date with mom and dad this year. Did I mention how sweet my Valentine's were? The boys told me to be ready at 4:45 p.m. and they came to the door all dressed up and asked me to go on a date with them. They then took me out to The Ranch for an early dinner reservation where Jackson ate all of my steak but gave me the sweetest toast over Shirley Temples ever. We then went and got a slice of cookie cake (my weakness!) and saw Star Wars: Episode 1 at the movie theatre in 3D. What a perfect night!

Exhibit H: Last Saturday. He came out of his room ready to go. The funny thing is, is that Renzi seriously used to dress like this in college and still does sometimes around our house. I don't understand the shorts over the pants thing, but I think it is cute that Jax copies it.

Exhibit I: And then, today....He decided that he would be Captain America all day and this is how he was dressed when we ran errands. I love his confidence. He doesn't care what other people say or think. He just does it. I pray that he is always like this!

So...that, in a nutshell, is my Jackson and his creative outfits. Hope you enjoyed the pics as much as I do!

Have a great weekend!

P.S. I'm still pregnant by the way! :) Doc appointments this week went really well. BP is still a bit high and there are still significant amounts of protein in my urine, but still nothing to freak out about. I am about to be 36 weeks along so I am proud baby boy is still cooking! I am still measuring 3 weeks ahead so estimates on baby's size are still quite large. I go see Dr. Mirablie on Monday for a big ultrasound so I am excited to find out what he thinks about the baby's size and his estimates on when he will come.

I have had quite a few contractions this past week which has been crazy to experience, considering I never once had a contraction with Jackson or Isaiah (or at least that I knew of!). They are not too far together so that is good, but it's still amazing to feel them.

Thankful for a healthy baby so far and that he is "still in there!"

Much love!

Tennis

Back in December when I started to think ahead to the New Year and how cold the weather would be, how pregnant I would be, and how I needed to figure out a way for Jackson to burn off some energy...I decided to try out some new "after school activities" for him.

So, he started Taekwondo two afternoons a week, which I showed in a video in an earlier post and he started Tennis one afternoon a week.

And, Oh. My. Goodness. I think he is so precious playing tennis! I know I am biased. But, it's true! He's just so stinking cute. And he's pretty good too.

Here are two videos of him from yesterday. Oh, and take note that he is the youngest in this Junior Class by at least 4 years! That's right...the kid closest to him in age is 8! I think Jax holds his own pretty well.

The first video is of their warm up and the second is of he and his "coach" doing tennis drills.

Love. Love. Love. Love. Love this boy.

Surprise Baby Shower!

Today my Leadership Oklahoma City class threw me a surprise diaper shower during our monthly class session today. I was totally shocked and feel so blessed by my classmates. They all brought diapers and wipes and even coordinated with eachother to bring three different sizes of diapers so we wouldn't have too much of one size. Seriously, so stinking thoughtful!!!

This experience of being a part of LOKC Class 30 has been such a gift. (not to confuse everyone but I work for Leadership Oklahoma, a statewide organization while LOKC is a city wide organization) When I applied to be a member of the Signature Program I had no idea if I would even be chosen out of all of the applicants. I also had no idea how much I would learn about OKC, nor did I know how many amazing people I would meet in the program.

We have spent one full day out of each month focusing on a different issue facing our great city, touring, meeting and hearing from our city leaders, discussing in depth how we can help OKC grow and all the while getting the chance to get to know the other members of our class who are leaders in their own businesses and careers. I say this everytime one of our class sessions is over, but I am in awe of the caliber of people I get the privilege to be class members with.

So...to all of my LOKC Class 30'ers...thank you so much for the surprise today. I love you all!!!

33 week update

Let's take a trip down memory lane and see just how BIG I have gotten since I started taking pictures of this pregnancy...shall we?

Ahhh...here I am...at 13 weeks along. Just had gotten over the nauseousness and was feeling pretty great!

Here I am at 15 weeks in the bathroom at my office. I had intended on doing a post every week and here is where I started my downfall of skipping a week here and there.

And here is me at 26 weeks. Totally missed the boat on getting any pictures in between. Not really sure why I slacked off so much on taking belly pics.

29 weeks. The hugeness continues.

Holy Bumpness! Here I am last week at 32 weeks.

And me today at 33 weeks and some change. Oh, and yes, that is me wearing the same outfit as I was in last week in my picture. We have reached the point in this pregnancy where I have begun to just rotate the same few outfits in and out. No judging.

So, to update you all on my prehypertensive, borderline preeclamptic diagnosis...

I went to the hospital Monday for lab work and to drop off my 24 hour gross test and a blood pressure check. Blood pressure was 140/85 but nothing to be too alarmed about, so I was sent on my way.

Tuesday I was back at the hospital for a non stress test (NST) and over the course of the NST my blood pressure was a steady 150/95 so I had to stay and rest a lot longer. When they had me lay on my side, my BP dropped so that was how I had to lay....for 2 hours! They drew more blood and once my BP was stable for awhile they sent me home again. Baby was moving and dancing and doing perfect.

Wednesday....well, I had Wednesday OFF from the doctors! Yippeee!

Thursday, I had my weekly appointment with my doctor and my BP was 145/80. The doc went over my lab work and 24 hour tests. All of my labs came back looking good. There is a significant amount of protein in my urine but not enough to freak out about. So, I am still on "restricted activity," and will continue to be monitored.

Friday, I was back for my routine NST and lo and behold, my BP was 120/80! Hallelujah! They then sent me over to ultrasound to do a Biophysical Profile on sweet baby. They monitored his practice breathing, his kidneys, heart and amniotic fluid. At the end of a Biophysical Profile you get a score from your baby and he scored an 8 out of 8! Praise the Lord!

I continue to be so blessed that the health of this baby seems to be great and not affected by my health issues. Thank you Jesus!

I have to do the 24 hour test again this Sunday and will have more lab work done on Monday and will continue with the NST's, ultrasounds and weekly visits with my doctor next week. Each day we can keep this baby "cooking" is another blessing so we are just taking it one day at a time!

Thank you all for your prayers!

Jackson at Taekwondo

Jackson has been taking Taekwondo for a month now and as I have previously stated...I think it is the cutest thing in the world!
Here is a video I took yesterday. Jackson is the one closest to the camera.

So stinking cute! Love that boy!
