Sleep

As many of you with young kids know (or remember), sleep is a very precious thing to a mommy. You strive for it, you yearn for it, you crave it. Even when I think I have this getting your kiddos to sleep thing down, something throws me for a loop. Isn't that how so much of life goes??

This little guy has always been my fabulous sleeper. I swear he slept 12 hours a night from the moment we came home from the hospital. He napped consistently every day until about 3 months ago (he's 5!), and he still takes a nap on most weekends. Oh, and this one...as SOON as his head hits the pillow he is out like a light.

Now, some of you may recall what an AWFUL sleeper Isaiah was! Seriously, every hour he was up during the night.

This precious booger is my "in-betweener." He's a better sleeper than Isaiah, but not nearly as good as Jackson. Here is during a nap after church in the car. He had missed his nap that morning so he was a flipping mess when we picked him up from the nursery. The girls who were working with the babies looked a little *too* happy that we were picking our fuss ball up. Ha!

Here is another example of how Jackson can sleep anywhere. We had been to Mary Poppins and we were dropping his friend Lauren off in our neighborhood and I looked back and Jackson had moved from his car seat to this seat (still not sure why) buckled himself back in and was out.

Again, with this little booger....He has figured out how to go from laying down to sitting up and scooting and rolling around everywhere. This was the morning I discovered his new trick. Needless to say, we moved his crib mattress down that night because I kept having this vision of him catapulting himself out of the crib. Renzi said that sounded pretty far fetched, but hey...babies can catapult...right?!??

Jackson always falls asleep in our room after his story and prayers...this night I was clearly tired too. Renzi snapped this photo of us before he took J back to his own bed. Lordy lordy...look at my hair! Bed head before the night even started!

Booger has been sleeping so much better the last week...going to bed at 7:00 p.m. and sleeping all the way through the night without waking up. Except.....his wake up time is now right about 5:55 a.m. EEK!!!!!!!!! This was yesterday when I looked over at 8:00 a.m. and he was falling asleep in his breakfast!

And Jackson must have been tired yesterday morning too because after I moved Walker to his crib from the high chair I went back to the living room to find this! Passed out under his tent that he built that morning.

Oh sweet sleep. How much I love thee.

Why is it that even if you are getting sleep you never feel as if you are getting enough?

Our week

We had such a fun week last week and ended with a FAB weekend....

Here were the highlights.....

Jax and I went on a Mommy/Jackson date to the Thunder Game. So much fun!

We acted pretty silly during car pool one morning!

It was beautiful this past week so we took advantage of lots of park time. Here is Walker playing in the sand at one of the parks with his buddy Mason!

Renzi had to work late one night so the boys and I loaded up and headed to Ted's. It was Walker's first trip and it did not disappoint. It's safe to say Walker is now officially a lover of Mexican food just like his big brother and his momma.

Friday night Jackson invited his friend Lauren on a "date" to see Mary Poppins at the Civic Center. These too cuties were so precious. We went and had hamburgers and french fries before the play.

And then we headed over to the Civic Center. The play was amazing and the kiddos loved it!

Jackson lasted until about 10:00 p.m. before he CRASHED in his daddy's lap. Lauren hung on until the end! Both kiddos were sound asleep in the car on the way home though.

And a major highlight this past weekend was one of my bestie's Jackie came in town with her husband and spent the weekend with us. We went to Norman to the OU game Saturday together and had the best time. Swirls and queso at The Mont, shopping and tailgating at Blush and the game! We ended the evening back at home with the kiddos and Sara and Ryan Walker and Hideaway pizza! Great day.

This is such a busy time for us....anyone else feel like they are running around like chickens with their heads cut off??? Hubs and I seem to have work events almost every night these last few weeks and we are sooo ready for a break at Thanksgiving. And to top it off, Walker is now on day 37 with a runny nose....and he likes to wake up at 4 a.m. for the day these days. Oh Lordy Lordy.

Thanksgiving...where are you???? :)

Halloween and 8 months old!

We had the happiest of Halloweens here at the Stone house this year!

Jackson was Raphael of the teenage mutant ninja turtles and Walker was Yoda.

Here is Jax before his school costume parade.

Cuties on the porch!

Walker was so funny to watch. He didn't exactly love being in costume but he was such a cute Yoda.

We went over to our friends house in our neighborhood for pizza and then all of the kiddos went trick or treating all together. Walker and I hung with everyone until they left and then we headed home for bed. Jackson and Renzi had the best time!

Here is a pic of the whole gang!!!

And Walker turned 8 months old on the 28th! This past month has been full of ear infections but hoping that they are over now that he got tubes in his ears last Thursday!

He is 23 pounds of love! He has his two bottom teeth and he is almost crawling! He gets on all fours and rocks back and forth and then thrusts himself forward or backwards. Hilarious.

He loves his big brother and lights up whenever he is around. Melt my heart!

We love you Walker Bear!
