The Mattress Debacle....

Sorry it has been so long since I last blogged! I feel like sometimes we are just running from one thing to the next and falling into bed at night, but man, we sure are having fun!

We recently bought a lake house at Grand Lake and Jackson and I went up the weekend before last to spend some time there while Renzi was at his brother's bachelor party. This past weekend Renzi, Jackson and I all went together and boy did we have a great time. The weekend before I had purchased a King Size Mattress, Box Springs and Bed Frame for a steal at this place in Grove, OK called, "The Cheapo Depo." (don't judge by the name, it checks out and you won't believe the price we got it for!). Friday when we got to the lake we headed up to the place to get the mattress. The guys there tied up the mattress on top of the car and the box springs in the car with the frame. I remember Renzi specifically telling one of the guys to "make sure you tie it up super tight."

Well, we took off to the house, which is only about 10 miles away from the store. It was a rainy and windy day, but when we got to the top of the bridge at Grove a HUGE gust of wind came and we watched helplessly as our mattress flew off of the car and almost caused a four car pile up on the bridge. We had to circle back and when we came to the mattress we couldn't believe it hadn't fallen in the lake. Well, given my current state of pregnancy I wasn't much help and poor Renzi was trying to manuever this mattress on top of the bridge, now in a full out rain storm on his own. Thankfully, 20 seconds later this really nice man and his wife pulled up and helped us get the mattress into his truck and he followed us all of the way to our house. Above is a picture of the nice couple. Man, I love Oklahoma.

Fun weekend at Grandmother's

We went to North Carolina this past weekend to visit Grandmother and were so excited because Aunt Ginny and Uncle Dave (aka Uncle Diddy) drove down from D.C. to visit as well. And they brought their 6 month old pup Winston. Jackson had a blast playing with two of his favorite things, Dogs and Basketballs. Here are some pics from the weekend as well as a video of Jackson "dribbling," telling Winston No, laughing out loud and throwing his head back the way I do when I laugh, and "Diving" on Aunt Ginny....or as he says when he is diving on you, "DIE!"

Look how big I am!

Jackson is sooooo big! He's hanging from the rafters...haha...Just had his 18 month well visit....little man is 33 inches (70% height) and 22 lbs. 13 oz (10%) for weight. Long and skinny like his daddy!

Fun weekend #2 with the Regans'!

We had the Regans' up for the weekend at our house because we (the adults) were all going to Red Tie Saturday night. What fun it is to watch the boys play together! Jack and Jackson are just hilarious and they really seem to like eachother so much. We did have our first incident of Jackson biting Jack, and many timouts were had. I am hoping this biting phase will pass sooner rather than later. It's awful!
We all had a great time hanging out together and enjoy spending time with the Regans' so much and can't wait to do it more at the lake come March 16th when we close on the lake house at Grand. WHOO HOO!

OU Alumni Game

On Valentine's Day this year, OU played Texas Tech and it was the Alumni Game as well. 75 of OU's former players came back for a weekend of festivities. One of the events was the halftime show of introducing the former players. Renzi took Jackson out on the court and they both had a ball. Jackson was oblivious to the 10,000 plus people in the stands and hammed it up for the crowd!
