A Letter

One of the qualities (of the many!) that attracted me to my husband is that not only is he a great friend, but he has some of the greatest friends as well. These friends are so tight with each other, I usually joke that they are like a bunch of girls. They talk on the phone more than most people, make fun of each other, make each other laugh, listen to each other's problems, try to solve the world's problems, but most of all they are just there for each other. It is also so wonderful because they have always included me in all that they do. I consider his friends MY friends as well. They are all such good people.

One of these friends is Aaron Jack (AJ). AJ and Renzi went to high school together in Tulsa and have been friends for a long time. AJ and his wife Allison and their adorable son Bowman live in Sacramento, so we don't get to see them as much as we would like. AJ has dropped everything he is doing and jumped on a plane every time I am about to have a baby (because let's face it, my due dates are never accurate!) and always shows up to be with family and friends to welcome to the world our newest son.

When Isaiah was born we decided we would like to ask AJ to be his Godfather. AJ took this duty seriously and with pride. And he was such a wonderful Godfather...still is. So, it was without question that we would ask him to Walker's Godfather as well.

AJ wrote a letter to Isaiah the day he died. It was heartfelt and full of love and emotion.

He has written another letter to Isaiah and I thought I would share it with all of you.

We Heart B: A Letter to My Godson

Thank you AJ. Our boys are forever lucky to have you in their lives...and so are we.
