Look at this preciousness at basketball camp last week.
Each day at the end of camp, the coaches would give out awards to certain people. On this day, Jackson was "Defender of the Day" for 4, 5 and 6 year olds. Here he is getting his award...he's the little one in the middle. Of course, when they called his name my mom and I jumped up and started cheering loudly. I realized that at some point in the future I am going to have to be quiet when something like this happens, so as to not embarrass my poor son. But, until then...I'm totally going to rock being "that mom."
Wearing his medal proudly.
And then there is this guy...He just melts my heart. Even when he is cranky...which he has been the last few days. I took him to the doctor yesterday and we got some reflux medicine so we are hoping it will work out some tummy issues.
He did rock it last night on the sleeping. He slept from 9:00 p.m.-2:30 a.m., then from 3:00 a.m.-6:30 a.m. It's amazing what a stretch of sleep will do for your attitude. It's true what they say...Sleep is a weapon.
Walker is one month old today. Hard to believe, yet sometimes it feels like he's been here forever.
I had a moment the other night while I was feeding him in his room. His room is actually Isaiah's old room. I never even really gave it much thought putting his nursery there...it just seemed like the right thing to do. I didn't want that room to have any bad memories and I wanted to create more good ones in there. Anywho, as I was feeding him I looked down at him and he grabbed my hand, just like Isaiah used to do, and Walker was staring up at me. And I had that feeling where I felt like everything was right in the world and I was so happy to be back in that room feeding another baby.
It's times like that, that remind me how far we have come. Even in the hard times of having a newborn, where you are bone tired and don't think you can take it if the baby fusses one more time, I remind myself how blessed we truly are. This baby is healthy. This baby is thriving. And this baby was sent to us by God (and I believe Isaiah too!).
So...Happy One Month Birthday Walker. We all love you so!

Precious are both boys. I hope the reflux meds help, sounds like it with that stretch of sleep! I could eat him with a spoon.
