As many of you with young kids know (or remember), sleep is a very precious thing to a mommy. You strive for it, you yearn for it, you crave it. Even when I think I have this getting your kiddos to sleep thing down, something throws me for a loop. Isn't that how so much of life goes??
This little guy has always been my fabulous sleeper. I swear he slept 12 hours a night from the moment we came home from the hospital. He napped consistently every day until about 3 months ago (he's 5!), and he still takes a nap on most weekends. Oh, and this one...as SOON as his head hits the pillow he is out like a light.

Now, some of you may recall what an AWFUL sleeper Isaiah was! Seriously, every hour he was up during the night.
This precious booger is my "in-betweener." He's a better sleeper than Isaiah, but not nearly as good as Jackson. Here is during a nap after church in the car. He had missed his nap that morning so he was a flipping mess when we picked him up from the nursery. The girls who were working with the babies looked a little *too* happy that we were picking our fuss ball up. Ha!

Here is another example of how Jackson can sleep anywhere. We had been to Mary Poppins and we were dropping his friend Lauren off in our neighborhood and I looked back and Jackson had moved from his car seat to this seat (still not sure why) buckled himself back in and was out.

Again, with this little booger....He has figured out how to go from laying down to sitting up and scooting and rolling around everywhere. This was the morning I discovered his new trick. Needless to say, we moved his crib mattress down that night because I kept having this vision of him catapulting himself out of the crib. Renzi said that sounded pretty far fetched, but hey...babies can catapult...right?!??

Jackson always falls asleep in our room after his story and prayers...this night I was clearly tired too. Renzi snapped this photo of us before he took J back to his own bed. Lordy lordy...look at my hair! Bed head before the night even started!

Booger has been sleeping so much better the last week...going to bed at 7:00 p.m. and sleeping all the way through the night without waking up. Except.....his wake up time is now right about 5:55 a.m. EEK!!!!!!!!! This was yesterday when I looked over at 8:00 a.m. and he was falling asleep in his breakfast!

And Jackson must have been tired yesterday morning too because after I moved Walker to his crib from the high chair I went back to the living room to find this! Passed out under his tent that he built that morning.

Oh sweet sleep. How much I love thee.
Why is it that even if you are getting sleep you never feel as if you are getting enough?
